St Louis, Missouri: St Louis Outlet Mall (formerly St Louis Mills), St Louis Premium Outlets

Perfect for a weekend trip or family getaway, St Louis offers more than just the famous Gateway Arch. The St Louis Outlet Mall, while it only offers around 50 stores, is conveniently located close to the airport and two large casinos. You can also sign up for the kid’s club, which has special events year round. St Louis Premium outlets has around 100 stores and is located in Chesterfield, also close to the airport. If the kids get sick of all the bargain hunting you’ll be doing, take them to a park along the winding Missouri River – or to the Sky Zone Trampoline Park just down the road. For the grownups, we recommend taking a tour of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery for the ultimate St Louis experience.

Miami, Florida: Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall

Sawgrass Mills, this native Floridian’s favorite outlet mall on the list, is an experience unto itself. One of the biggest malls in the country, it boasts over 300 stores (read that again – three hundred!) including Saks Off Fifth and Last Call from Neiman Marcus. There’s a movie theater and plenty of restaurants, and the location in Sunrise, Florida is convenient not only to Miami but also to Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. This outlet experience would take more than a day if you let it, but if you get all shopped out, escape to the nearby pristine wilderness of Everglades National Park. You can take an airboat ride, admire alligators and herons in one of America’s most unique natural habitats, or take a trip to the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum to learn about traditional Seminole crafts and ways of life.

Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio: Lodi Station Outlets and Cincinnati Premium Outlets

While Lodi Station (pronounced low-die) only has around 60 stores, it has something for the kids that no other outlet on this list has: a train. The ‘Victoria’ was built by hand and has over two miles of track. Lodi, a scenic town 30 minutes away from Cleveland, is surrounded by picturesque apple orchards and Amish villages, making the area perfect for a fall weekend getaway. And if the kids are teens, take them to Cleveland’s iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or the nearby Pro Football Hall of Fame for a trip they’ll never forget. If you’re in Cincinnati, meanwhile, the Cincinnati Premium Outlets offer back to school events for kids and teens (including a partnership with Teen Vogue) and free summer concerts.
